1. What platforms does ZenBackup support?
ZenBackup supports a wide range of platforms, including:
- Microsoft SQL Server
- MySQL / MariaDB
- PostgreSQL
- MongoDB
- Windows File System (Files & Folders)
- Linux File System (Files & Folders)
2. What are the different storage options available?
ZenBackup offers the following storage options for your backups:
- ZenBackup's Vault (default)
- Amazon S3
- SFTP
- Local Storage (on your server)
3. What's ZenBackup's Vault and how does it work?
ZenBackup's vault is a secure, cloud-based storage solution provided by ZenBackup. It is designed to store your backups safely and reliably. It uses AWS (Amazon Web Services) data centers for storing the encrypted backup data. The data is encrypted using industry-standard encryption algorithms before being transmitted to the vault, ensuring that your data remains secure and private. It's a convenient option for users who want a hassle-free backup storage solution without the need to manage their own storage infrastructure.
4. What happens when the retention period is reached?
When a snapshot reaches the retention period, it is automatically deleted to make space for the new backup. However, this is applicable only to backups stored in ZenBackup's vault. If you are using your own storage, the retention policy is not enforced, and you will need to manage the deletion of old backups.
