Petti is a Tamil word that means 'box'. We chose this name because Petti is like a box that stores your backups. It's also interchangeably referred to a 'chest', which has a rich history of storing valuables.

Petti uses Amazon Web Services (AWS) to store your data. Keeping your data secure is our top priority, and we ensure that your data is encrypted and stored in secure data centers operated by AWS.

What happens when the retention period is over?

When a snapshot reaches the retention period, it is automatically deleted to make space for the new backup.
